LEEDS IRISH CENTRE 40TH ANNIVERSARY GOLF DAY
There will be a Golf Day held on Wednesday 9th June
to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Leeds Irish

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS: 20th & 21st MAY
Leeds Irish Golf Society will be hosting the 30th
Annual Union of Irish Golf Societies (GB) National
Championships. It takes place on Thursday 20th and
Friday 21st May at Cobble Hall Golf Club, Leeds.
We would like to know if anyone is interested in
volunteering to help out with the organisation of
the Union of Irish Golf Societies’ flagship tournament.

LIGS Golfer of the Year award
We would like to congratulate JP Moriarty, who won
the Leeds Irish Golf Society’s 2009 Order Of Merit. We
would also like say well done to everyone who took
part in last year’s tournaments.

Pairs Competition: the final
The final of the 2009 Pairs Competition will be between
Mick Creaby and Jimmy King vs Chris O’Hora and
Tommy Reape. Best of luck to both teams.

NEXT COMPETITION: CHAIRMAN VS CAPTAIN
Our next competition is Chairman Vs Captain. It takes
place on Sunday 9th May at Cobble Hall Golf Course.
Tee-off time is at 1pm. We would like to see as many
members turn up as possible.
